Personnel services

Personnel services have to be provided at even the smallest authorities. It is thus only appropriate to process them centrally. By centralizing tasks it is possible to use comprehensive technological infrastructure which otherwise would not be available to every institution. The Federal Office of Administration processes different personnel administration tasks for approximately 90 clients, e.g. many federal ministries.

Such tasks include the calculation of remuneration and allowances, the preparation and calculation of business trips, the calculation of separation allowances and relocation expenses, recruitment, time management, etc. As a consequence, client authorities are relieved of routine work and can concentrate their resources on their core tasks.

The Shared Services Centre (DLZ) was established at the BVA to carry out such cross-cutting tasks. Its work is based on a client-oriented business approach. The use of modern information technology has allowed the DLZ to continuously reduce processing costs and processing times. The partners’ goals and expectations are laid down in service level agreements in order to ensure transparency and the quality of services.
