Per­son­nel ser­vices

Per­son­nel ser­vices have to be pro­vid­ed at even the small­est au­thor­i­ties. It is thus on­ly ap­pro­pri­ate to pro­cess them cen­tral­ly. By cen­tral­iz­ing tasks it is pos­si­ble to use com­pre­hen­sive tech­no­log­i­cal in­fras­truc­ture which oth­er­wise would not be avail­able to ev­ery in­sti­tu­tion. The Fed­er­al Of­fice of Ad­min­is­tra­tion pro­cess­es dif­fer­ent per­son­nel ad­min­is­tra­tion tasks for ap­prox­i­mate­ly 90 clients, e.g. many fed­er­al min­istries.

Such tasks in­clude the cal­cu­la­tion of re­mu­ner­a­tion and al­lowances, the prepa­ra­tion and cal­cu­la­tion of busi­ness trips, the cal­cu­la­tion of sep­a­ra­tion al­lowances and re­lo­ca­tion ex­pens­es, re­cruit­ment, time man­age­ment, etc. As a con­se­quence, client au­thor­i­ties are re­lieved of rou­tine work and can con­cen­trate their re­sources on their core tasks.

The Shared Ser­vices Cen­tre (DLZ) was es­tab­lished at the BVA to car­ry out such cross-cut­ting tasks. Its work is based on a client-ori­ent­ed busi­ness ap­proach. The use of mod­ern in­for­ma­tion tech­nol­o­gy has al­lowed the DLZ to con­tin­u­ous­ly re­duce pro­cess­ing costs and pro­cess­ing times. The part­ners’ goals and ex­pec­ta­tions are laid down in ser­vice lev­el agree­ments in or­der to en­sure trans­paren­cy and the qual­i­ty of ser­vices.

Re­cruit­ment

For over ten years, the re­cruit­ment ser­vice cen­tre (SZP) of the Fed­er­al Of­fice of Ad­min­is­tra­tion (BVA) has been sup­port­ing oth­er fed­er­al au­thor­i­ties and bod­ies close­ly linked to the Fed­er­al Gov­ern­ment in im­ple­ment­ing re­cruit­ment mea­sures.
