Cer­ti­fi­ca­tions/Apos­tille

Of­fi­cial cer­ti­fi­ca­tion of Ger­man of­fi­cial doc­u­ments for the pur­pose of le­gal­i­sa­tion/apos­tille on fed­er­al doc­u­ments

The Fed­er­al Of­fice of Ad­min­is­tra­tion of­fi­cial­ly cer­ti­fies sig­na­tures and Ger­man of­fi­cial doc­u­ments for use out­side Ger­many and is­sues apos­tille on fed­er­al doc­u­ments for use in ac­ces­sion coun­tries of the Hague Con­ven­tion.

Please note that ap­pli­ca­tions re­ceived via post may take some time to pro­cess, which can vary de­pend­ing on the in­di­vid­u­al case. As of 1 Febru­ary 2011, doc­u­ments that have been cer­ti­fied or fur­nished with an apos­tille are sent ex­clu­sive­ly to the ap­pli­cant’s ad­dress in Ger­many for cash on de­liv­ery. For ap­pli­ca­tions from out­side Ger­many, the Ger­man ad­dress of an au­tho­rised re­cip­i­ent, who will pay cash for and re­ceive the de­liv­ery, must be pro­vid­ed.
Should im­me­di­ate pro­cess­ing be nec­es­sary in a par­tic­u­lar­ly ur­gent case, this may be pos­si­ble pro­vid­ed that you speak to the Fed­er­al Of­fice of Ad­min­is­tra­tion in per­son dur­ing the ser­vice times spec­i­fied be­low.
